Default But John short of track use wheres the advantage in using

such a heavy weight oil as a 15w50? It would still seem that Redline has the edge...

Default Thanks John....

I've read your postings on the oil talk forum, and I really appreciate your insights.

[As for oils, I operate my normally aspirated car (a high-mileage (>170k) Nissan SR20DE-powered car) on Mobil 1 Tri-syn 15w50 in temperate to hot conditions with no ill effects and only mild consumption.]

Default Talk to guys who dyno engines on test stands.

They all favor single weight SAE 30 oil. I'm just not a fan of lightweight multiviscosity oils. Who in North America needs 0W or 5W oil in the summer?
