Mod shack busy today, working on the roach and the blue mobile....Tried the new ECS valve on Marcus's stage 3 with disappointing results...Per APR. They were right, as usual. Did VAG runs before and after to confirm...Swapped over to my car and BINGO! Excellent driveability and boost improvements through the important mid range. Before we even saw the Data, Marcus and I both noticed a big improvement! This with a new 110 Bosch DV. Here's the results. Max boost increase at the IC is 13%. Boost gauge saw new territory today......For the doubters, see above. This gets the ModShack seal of approval....2 thumbs up from the shack

Good to know. I replaced my "C" version with OEM "F" recently, and...
found drivability, smoothness, etc to be vastly improved over the previous rev. Sounds like the ECS is the next step up. :-)

We suspect.....>>>
That the ECU programming is already compensating and determining the optimum for the Stage 3 components. The Stg3 starts out at 100% N75 duty cycle and holds there well into the RPM range. Stock, it starts at 95.3% and tapers sooner as the N75 bleeds boost at higher RPM's. Interesting, duty cycle VAG numbers are the same for both valves indicating there is a difference in the internal orfice and consequently the air signal that is sent to the wastegate.

Controls the wastegate, and consequently boost delivery.....

Much speculation as to which car....ECS discovered it and will reap the small benefit for a while. That should be the case since this is likely the stock URS4 N75 and those cars
ran as much as 1.7 bar stock I believe. Same with the 110 Bosch DV - I think they ran those as well. So you're now pushing 1.5 bar if I read that right?

From the Vortex speculation. Joe...This is with the 110 valve. Manifold pressures are at 2550 Milibars from 3-5,000. Damn, I thought my boost gauge was stuck! Feeling pretty strong!
