Default I just got a letter about that...

...apparently I need to find a work record of a mechanic saying that the display was bad that dates back to 2006. Lame. I might actually have it, but still very lame.

Default The part that makes me chuckle is that...

defendant claims that the instrument clusters are different in the U.S. export than TT's instrument clusters sold in the U.K. Hmmm? Now that seems kind of fishy. Why would the U.K successfully file a law suit to have instrument clusters repaired/replaced? Wasn't this on that silly British car review program that aired in the U.S. where some guy named Jeremy or whatever poo-poohed the TT to smithereens?

You can bet that eventhough my cluster is out of the warranty cycle that I will fight this. They want proof that prior to 06' my cluster went bad? Now how are the majority of us going to prove that? There is no way most of us would have documented evidence to the fact. Guess the number of people responding will prove otherwise.

Default Lots of good karma for lawyers these days on AW

Now, can they work their magic on timing belts?

Default Yeah, all I have is an IM conversation with a friend.

Somehow, I think they're not going to take that as proof that it was diagnosed over 2 years ago.

Default Anyone think old threads will hold water? See below..

eventhough my handle has changed, I do recall numerous posts regarding my failing cluster. And hopefully AW will vouch for my identity. :-)

https://forums.audiworld.com/tt/msgs/1188888.phtml</a

Default I'm outside the six year window for sure and never bothered

To mention the cluster issues. I knew I would not spend the money to fix it until It completely quit.
Only option I see is to opt out and hope for the best. I've had missing pixels and a screwy acting Tacho since day one.
