I had this exact problem in my A6 a couple of years ago when gas prices also went up a lot in a short time period. It was solved by having the gas tank emptied and the fuel line cleaned, under warranty. It started again a few weeks ago in the A6, and my thought is, as it was the last time around, with all the high gas prices, will some stations try to by sell low grade stuff for a huge markup?

lasts about 5 sec or so, right?
Dealer says it is related to temp- had it on my 2.7 allroad as well. Seems to happen first thing in the AM with ambient temps at 75 or so.
Very irritating, but has yet to be solved by dealer.

Except my problem sounds a little different. The car starts fine. However, while driving the first mile or so, the car hesitates or hickups. After the first mile, the car runs perfectly. Any clue anyone??? This problem happens every day.
