Default Motor Mount Update

Well - the motor mount is broken, as well as the ear on the engine that it was mounted to...New engine? Anybody got a good short block???

Maybe I should just part it out

Default ummm.. broken ear? IIRC the mount you made reference was >>

<center><img src="http://www.amp82.co.uk/tt/timingbelt/misc6.jpg"></center><p>on the passenger side because it popped off the TB cover. There is a *replaceable* part that bolts to the engine, you don't need a complete new engine (if you are going to throw your short block away, I'll take it.... lol..)
In the picture (BTW, not mine. Thanks to the copyright holder), you can see the part in the center, it is the mount and the 'ear' that bolt to the block.

searching now for an exploded view of the engine to figure out what that part is called.

Default It must be number 12

that goes to the engine, and 5 attaches the engine to the chassis...


Bolt 13 snapped and remains in the engine block, bolt 14 is the on that snapped the attachment point off the engine

Default Just went and looked at it

the "ear " in question is the one cast into the engine block, just below the deck, towards the back of the engine compartment. No way to repair, that I can see....
