Default Movement at last on my 225Q Coupe!

Was finally called by my dealer in Dallas, TX today regarding placing my order for 225Q Coupe. It seems that everyone wants the Roadster in Dallas. I ordered Amulet Red/Black with all options except phone. No pricing to report as of yet. Since I had given up all hope of getting this car this year from my Dallas-based dealer (Park Place), I called around the country and found an identical car with May delivery @ Danbury, CT Porsche/Audi. As of three days ago, he had 3 225Q coupes available for May '00 delivery: Red/Black, Silver/Black and Green/Silver. The Red/Black car is only one with Navigation package. I technically still have this car on reserve, but will probably relinquish it in the next few days since I was not relishing the 1800 mile drive from CT to TX! Call (203) 744-5200 and ask for Michael Killeen regarding these cars if you want them. Bear in mind that the Red one will not be available until I release it.

How long were you waiting in Dallas. I am on the list at Park Place and last they told me I was 18. So I called around and Oklahoma City had no list so I just got their allocation last week. I also will be getting a 225Q Coupe. I am going to call Park Place and have them send me my deposit back.

I was #15 on the 225Q list. They called me today out of the blue. I think a factor to play at Park Place is they have a lot of repeat customers and out of courtesy, they ask their existing customers if the wanted TTs. Since the wait was long and most of their customers have lots of green, they probably all said yes to being put on the waitlist. Now that they are calling them to place real orders--it appears they all want Roadsters. I want a coupe.

1800 miles in a brand new 225Q sounds like fun to me!
