I had exactly the same problem with mine. It was only 2 weeks old when it started leaking oil all over my garage. Took it in to Audi expecting them to just tighten a few bolts but they told me that the sump was porous or cracked....
They replaced the engine - no problem.

Wow, I guess I have company. How long did your repair take? I can't imagine they have an abundance of 225 engines laying around. Of course I'm anxious to get back behind the wheel.
I still know nothing. My TTQ is on it's way from the "nearset dealearship" to the one I purchased her from.

bounced off timing chain richocted around sump and tried to exit oil pan causing crack. UGh... new engine is in my future. Now we wait to see how long it will be....

My 2000 TTQ blew an engine yesturday.
Was yours covered under warranty?
I was told that I must have hit something on the road that cracked the oil pan, so it can not be covered under warranty.
Is this true? A light bump on the road would cause such extensive damage to this car?
NEED your help badly.
