when I'm barely moving (like almost coasting up behind somebody at a stop light) and I'm lightly stepping on the break pedal. At first I thought it was just the fact that they were new brakes on a new car. How can I beat the squeak without having to change the rotors/pads...?
i know it's probably brake dust...i really don't feel like tearing the wheels off either...ug...

You can also try to clean the brakes with a power washer. Really direct the jet into the area between the pads and the rotors.
