I've found that I keep it covered at night 95% of the time. I don't put it on when the car is wet or super dirty. Neither of these situations arise too often I've found. The Volvo gets a little dirtier because I drive it when I think things will get yucky out (rain or mud).
I guess what I'd really like is a windshield cover that works... I may have to look into making one. I have an old car cover I could cannibalize. I could see something anchoring on the mirrors and EuroRails in order to keep the front windshield clear. hmmm
