TT (Mk1) Discussion Discussion forum for the Mk1 Audi TT Coupe & Roadster produced from 2000-2006

My front camber is -1.5 left, -0.5 right. Is that bad? Everything else is even.

Default There is not a lot of adjustment at the base of the balljoints....>>

I assumed you had already tried to get it aligned and these were your numbers. Run the joints out to the outside of the slots, center the subframe so each side is even, then adjust at the slotting for correct camber.

Default I'd suggest you do it at Speedware like last time...

I got mine at this place called LBR in Bellevue (by Discount Tire), but I don't trust them anymore after something happened.

Default Thanks for the answers, seems that I can always count on you guys!

I guess I'll just wait until I change my summer tires on, and see how badly it pulls... Still suprised they did not mention this, the shop was rather quiet, and I know they can do this.

Default have you removed your subframe before for some reason?

I don't think the subframe usually gets out of whack unless you remove it for some reason. Mine was removed a bunch of times to install my custom downpipe, otherwise I wouldn't have needed the special alignment either..

Default Atleast in one account ...

I had my stabilizer bar bushings replaced at my dealer, and they atleast charged me of removing and installing it :-)

Second time I had the stabilizer replaced at non-dealer. The installer said he "loosened it just a bit to get the bar in".

Default That'll do it....>

You can't get it back the way it was without taking some alignment readings...

Default Nope. Everybody says Speedware is the shizzle but I've had my car there 3 times ...

First time, I had to teach their "Tech" how to adjust KMACs.

Second time, they told me my car was within specs..even though the right shoulder of each front tire was worn to the threads while the left shoulders of each were ~1/2 treadlife.

Third time they made me wait an hour just to tell me they couldnt adjust rear camber because it "isnt adjustable on this model".

ie...They missed the KMAC kit again and didnt bother to consult with me before bringing the car around and finishing the paperwork.

Default I guess you were the test dummy...

because they were fine with my car. haha.

They're too far out in the boonies for me anyways, I prefer to stay in Seattle when I can. =oP
