Default My instrument cluster is going a little crazy.

My oil light is buzzing about every 10 minutes, my temp gauge is sticking(sometimes). At least my gas gauge and fuel sending units are working after one replacement. The car is burning oil slightly from the GIAC but I just topped it off the other day so I'm sure that isn't the cause of the oil warning. Must be an electronic issue. The car also is clean for all codes.

Default Temp gauge sticking on Cold?

Then gradually going back to normal, then cold again? Sending unit.

Default Yepper, could that have anything to do with the oil light???

or would that be a cluster thing?

Default Yup.

I know it sounds odd, but it's happened to several of us. They replaced my cluster first, but it didn't help. Somehow a bad temp sending unit confuses the low oil pressure circuit. Gotta love modern electronics ;-)
