There's no room for 3 in my car with my 3-month old's rear-facing seat, but I'm hoping there will be when she moves into a forward facing at ~20lbs.

I have the exact seat for my daughter... For much longer trips like the one I took to Disney World with my wife and daugter, you can put the seat in the middle of the back. Use both seat belts and put some bath towels under the seat to stabalize it... It takes some doing, but once you get it in thier it is more secure than in normal positioin... and your kid will be happier being able to see out the front...

For my 2 year old, it is a god send, and he loves the ride.. Fits wonderfuly in the back seat.
