Default My pics of XM radio install

Been meaning to post for awhile...

Build a bracket like this---

Mount it in the ashtray---

Close the ashtray---

Hardwire it---

Default Bracket flexes so that's not the problem, its the wires...

The wires catch the ashtray, especially the signal wire (the fat middle one). I unplug the signal wire and rotate the antenna and power wire forward and the ashtray opens and closes without a problem.

Default What did you use to make the bracket?

And I see the nuts/screws where the bracket is mounted, but did you have to pull the dash apart to do it?

Any problem with the heat from the XM unit confusing the A/C controller?

Default Did you make a pattern?

if so could you share or make others this is the nicest install I have seen yet, my roady is just mounted with double stick on the dash to right of steering wheel cant see or operate while driving, any help you can provide would be appreciated
