My theory on why so many people tailgate TTs
Because they are ****ing idiots!
Actually, I haven't really figured it out yet. The first theory is that because the TT is such a small car people are more comfortable driving close. They can see over it, around it, and maybe feel that it is easy to intimidate a small car (or actually the driver of a small car).
But, I also have a Chevy Silverado pickup. And, it seems to me that people don't tailgate me in the pickup as often, even though I probably drive slower in the truck than I do in the TT. The more I think about it, I don't care as much about tailgaters when I drive the truck, so maybe I just don't notice them as often.
So, what do you think? Does size matter?

Few get so close, but those that have seemed intimidating in their 6000lb SUVs...
traveling on the edge or perhaps a little beyond control between 85 & 90. Many seemed to exhibit symptoms of jealousy.

I've found that often those "in the back seat" are young twenty-something women . . . .
So, my first take on this is that they are just young, dumb, women drivers who don't know any different. But, after talking to other women about this, they tell me that these drivers know exactly what they are doing and use their gender to their advantage. If a male driver was to do this to another male driver it can sometimes result in violence (road rage, fights, etc.) But, a young woman can be every bit as aggressive and get away with it because most people don't suspect what they are really up to.
