the gas tank is still the same size. They also addressed most of my issues:
- much more low end power
- more steering precision
- less understeer
- more road feel;
Unfortunately, that means that I won't be able to beat her in drag races ...

.. cos apart from the stiffer suspension, you get these spiffy 6-spoke wheels. Avant only.
The 2002 A4 is an unbelievable evolution of the old A4, which IMHO was the best small station wagon on the market. The 3.0 is all new, and I think designed by Cosworth. Lots of grunt, and lots of torque.
As you can see, I like it. Horrid admission - I enjoy thrashing the A4 Avant round the twisties almost as much as the TT. Whoops, am I excommunicated from here now?

that the 6 to 4 downshift at 75 mph wasn't nearly as fun as in the TT. The look on the salesman's face made up for it, though.

It's fun off the lights, well at least after the first slow second or two. But after that, straight road, and heavy right foot, and both hands on the wheel all the way to 140.
By the way, the A/C on these is chock-full of gremlins. Has a mind of its own, and knowing Audi, probably more than one.
Talk about blowin hot & cold.... Only major issue, IMO.
