The good news is that the door panel came off easily and I figured out the problem with the grinding and worthlessness of my driver's side window. Also, the motor is good. The bad news is I have no idea how to fix it. The cable is frayed and catching in the pulley that it wraps around. It looks like one end is in a piece that is riveted to the door frame, and the other end is somewhere at the top of the door frame on the inside.
Any ideas on what I would need to order? Oh, and if anyone is curious, it is the beige wire connection that is for the window switch.

i paid $190 for it at a local store, it includes the cables and all, actually easier to install than i thought (i personally didn't do it because of time constraints) once you get that metal frame out it's cake if you can rivet. good luck and thank god it wasn't the motor and regulator like it was on mine ;(
