Default Mystery Issue - Oh Experts, Please Assist>>>>

Right parking bulb not functioning. Replaced bulb and that's not the issue. Hazards work so the bulb is receiving current. Not a fuse issue. The tech working on it is at a complete loss.

Any ideas what the issue could be?

TIA!

Default Loose wire. On my 180 TTQC when the parking bulb was out...>>>

the wire connecting to the socket was loose. Dealer fixed it for free on warranty.

Default Can't do that on mine... I wouldn't have>>>

turn signals... My turn signal and parking light are the same bulb. There's an "extra bulb" with nothing attached. I thought the turn signal bulb and parking bulb were separate but on the 2000s perahps they were the same?

Default No.....Parking and turns are not the same...>>

The one with "nothing" attached is actually wired inside the housing. That would be the parking light.

Default Here is the answer...>>>

I have the same problem. Turn signals work, but no parking light strip. The problem is that the housing where bulb fits into is all bunged up. The plug twists out of the headlight assembly and is small black plastic piece. On the outside of the plug(for lack of a better word)is a metal strip on each side. These strips conduct electricity. When they are not properly in line, nothing will happen. I went through a few bulbs myself and nothing worked. I then switched one plug to the left side and then right, and bingo, that was it. I tried to fix the little metal strips, but that only made things worse.

Default the bulbs ground through the assembly itself.....clean the ends>>>

and check all grounding wires to the headlight assemblies...they can corrode....

Default No true. That "extra" bulb with no wires out of it, *is* the parking lamp. The contacts are on the

*inside* of the headlight.

your problem is one of these contacts is bad.
These parking lamp holders are not designed real well.
try a quarter-turn, and then wiggle it to either remove it, or re-seat it.
