Default Nav test (2 days)

First thing I found out is that there is no overlap of the CDs. Live within 2 miles of 4 counties, 2 on one CD & 2 on the other. Can't go from the house to the stable without changing CD's (4 miles). A free service like Mapquest has my street on it (7 miles long) but the $190 Audi map (no dealer freebies or discounts) with my county does not. The neighboring CD does but it has the length wrong & when you get near the inner end it goes off map. It was pouring out & I wanted to change maps (player located in rear wheel well area), could not find way to fold seat back from inside. This toy needs more development work. One other complaint, the right side wiper stops in front of the drivers line of site before changing direction leaving a haze in the drivers view.

P.S. I you have a TT on order don’t worry about it understeering to much with the MkII suspension, tossed it around yesterday in the dry, it is soooo easy to kick the back end out (late brake or early throttle).

Default A CD from Blaupunkt that says see your Audi dealer for technical help

yeah right, I wanted to burn some rally maps - need data format. Dealer can tell you which side is up & not much more.

Default All that complaining & I forgot to mention funny story

Was showing the wife nav system (a few miles from home) - select nearby restaurants - list shows "TCBY" 2.3 miles - wife says what TCBY, there's no TCBY around here. Takeoff on trip go less than 1/4 mile - voice says "tolls on this route". I'm thinking what tolls, it's a 2.3 mile trip. Directed to Interstate then Turnpike - voice says turn right 1/4 mile - I'm thinking maybe there is an access road before the toll booth. Approach booth - see road - wife screams NO NO NO authorized vehicles only! Take ticket at booth, proceed ahead - voice says "turn left" - now heading Turnpike south - thinking this is screwed up - can't get off for miles - look at segment mileage indicator - it now jumps from a few tenths to 8 point something miles. Now I know it's screwed up - then directly ahead - a huge sign - "TCBY". Completely forgot about rest stop close to home, complete with "TCBY" outlet.

It rained yesterday - tried out ESP. Good thing they have an indicator light, it feels like a mechanical malfunction when it kicks in. You hear & feel jolts. Thought about the day before, in the dry, when I was kicking the back end out. ESP never came on. Apparently unit is programmed to see float angle converging so it left me alone. Nice job Audi/Bosch.
