Default navigation/2001 TT

...childish curiousity from a 61 year old... If my TT never had navigation, is all the wiring present in tha car? Can OEM navigation be easily installed or would I have to get a partial harness along with the OEM unit and controller? It's not that I don't have a Garmin unit, it's just that I may feel like playing.

Doubt many have experience with your concerns. About the only thing more outdated (at introduction) than the TT nav, was the TT indash-cassette.

I mean really: nearly a $40K car in 2000-2001 and it came with an indash cassette. Sorry, I digress and that's a different rant for a different day.

Why not just play and see what happens?

cheers.

The in dash cassette never bothered me, since mine came with an OEM 6 disk CD player. If I have a complaint, it's that the magazine is easily accessible only if you're in the back seat.
I can rant too!...lost a plastic wheel cover yesterday, s_it! I'll be glad when the 4 winter "steelies" come off.

I would not entertain that thought at all! You're asking for MAJOR issues.
