Navy doesn't authorize a Privately Owned Vehicle (POV) to be shipped INCONUS, so how to get TT

Navy doesn't authorize a Privately Owned Vehicle (POV) to be shipped INCONUS, so how to get TT
to CA?
Can:
1. Drive Merc to CA, then fly back to Atlanta, then drive TT back to CA (ugh).
2. Friend can drive TT later (he offered).
3. Dad and I will drive both TT and Merc across country together.
4. Hook up a trailer to Merc and cart TT with me (not sure 'lil four banger will do that).
5. Freight ($$$).
Any other suggestions (and selling it isn't an option)?

I vote for #3, could be just a neat trip for you and your Dad, I've driven
the Alaska Highway with each of my kids on two separate occasions. Great memories, hook up a CB radio in each of the cars and you can chat along the way.
