Default Need Chip Advice

I believe that I have settled on the APR chip for my 225, but have a problem. Living in the Seattle, there are no shops to do the install. I was hoping to go to a shop to have the new ECU installed and watch the process so that I could swap out the APR ecu for the stock one as needed.

From what I hear, the process of swapping is relatively painless yet all of the walk-throughs still leave me with concerns about F-ing something up in the process. Being a somewhat AR and Stealership paranoid person, I want ZERO cosmetic after affects.

TIA

BTW, finally up to 1200 miles! A little accident kept me out of the driver seat.....and on percocet!

Thanks. How do you like the Milltek? I also need exhaust and was undecided between the Milltek 100 w/res and the new forge.

hi kingbc,

where is your location? I am from seattle too..

I think there are some places that can help you to instal the chip. I tried my self to read my chip serial number too last time, but not remove it. it seems easy for the second time, maybe for firts time little bit difficult as do not know how yet.

maybe we can G2G with other TTs @ seattle..I am at downtown area.

Great, thanks.

I live in downtown Bellevue, work in Redmond. I would love to setup a GTG here. There are quite a few TT's running around here, we should be able to pull something together.

Default im also near seattle, if you want a chip, were having a chip day for GIAC this weekend, on sat.

If you want, were having a GIAC rep come down from vancover to do the installs, let me know if you wana do this, because he has 2 open spots, and he need deposits ASAP. so that he can get the chips ready for the install.

Also its going to be a BBQ that day also, so if you wana come out to see the audi club, thats cool also. Its going to be in Redmond, so check the Pacific NW forum, i think they've talked about it over there, or just email me so i can fill ya in

Default ya that was me at the bison creek meet

Ive liked my X chip, ive seen dyno runs from other chip makers, the GIAC x chip seems to be one of the more agressive ones out there.

520 is needed right away for a deposits on chiping, the guy wants to know that people arent backing out.

the chip and bbq day is on sat, like i said earlyer, if your serious, get ahold of shantihs@hotmail.com cause monday is the last day for deposits

Default Not much time....

May not get credit authorization from the wife in time, damn! But who knows.

The deposit is $520, what is the total cost?

Also, I was wanting to chip one ECU and have another for a "spare". Is this guy going to be prepared for that? I'm thinking that this is not likely.

Either way, I may come by to check out the before/after.
