Default in need of guidances...

i know there are some of you guys here own M-benz as secondary ride. So question is there a service manual out there that you guys use, something similar to our bently.

second question, what do you guys use to scan for errors code? Can we use our vag-com dongle with different software to scan the car? If so, what software?

is there a useful forum that i can check out again similar to our own forum here. thank you

for the clicker here's something to look at

Default I am using my VAG COM in OBD-II mode inside of he VAG software

Not as precise, but pretty easy.

Regarding a manual, actually for my ML the dealership sells the official manual, and I don't think it was that much-$80 maybe. I have not bought it yet, but plan to.

Default Plug in VAG COM cable to OBD-II port. Turn on power to the car. Open VAG-COM software

make sure the software sees the cable in the setup. On main menu select OBD-II out of the options. Inside there are a bunch of options- error codes, clear codes, etc. Sometimes it takes 2-3 tries for it to connect up, so don't worry if it does not connect right up- needs to negotiate.
