I narrowed my search (exhausting 6 month search) for my next car to the Audi TT 225 coupe. I'm about to negotiate a lease deal with my local Audi dealer, and I wanted to know the numbers you guys have been given with your lease. Here are the details:
MSRP: 38,700
Term: 36 months
Down: 0 (only first month payment)
Taxes, title, licensing: bundled into payments
Milease: 12,000 / yr
I'm hoping to get about $500 / month. Do you guys think it's reasonable?

I posted these numbers down below:
2001 225QC
Negotiated Price - $37,325 (2000 off MSRP)
15000 miles per year
Money Factor 0.0330 (works out to ~8%)
Residual ~$23000
$0 down but $1700 in drive off charges (tax, license and 1st month)
39 month lease
$575 a month.
General Concensus is that they are reasonable numbers. Salesman seemed eager to do business (I have been in the show room 3 times) and said he might be able to work some more on the numbers. I originally wanted to buy a 2002 but his boss seemed kinda eager to unload a 2001. Seems like some wiggle room.

I have a 48 month lease with about the same MSRP and the same down and the same deal with taxes etc. I had a lot to pay off on my truck so I am paying $650 a month... so you could probably get off with $550 a month or less with a 4 year deal.. not sure with 3.

You are gonna be between 50-100 higher on payments on a four year term, residual has dropped from earlier in the year as the next model year is about to come out.
36 month is not gonna happen under 600 with no drive off.

I got $1,300 down and $492/month for 27 months, but that was in January. Not sure if the year-end deals cancel out the good deals for buying a TT in CT in the middle of winter. Certainly sounds doable, though.
Good luck.

I haggled with 3 dealers, all about 100 miles away, and got cap cost down to 36750, and with no down, no 1st payment (I used Audi's Loyalty Advantage), no security, I got $572/mo for 39 months. That was with hard work. I can't imagine doing much better than that.
