need help diagnosing a clutch problem.....
.... on my friend's '02 boxster s. On the way to work today, his clutch started acting up, with the final result being that when you put the clutch to the floor, it stays down at about 90% depression. Putting your toe under the pedal and pulling up snaps the pedal back up with a metallic "thunk". Any thoughts? Thanks in advance...

They replaced my master (under warranty) when that happened to my TT.
At first they said it was an air bubble in the line, and bled the fluids...but then I got stranded again. So they did the master.
