Default Need help in installing momo shift **** :-(

Has anyone ever installed a momo shift **** on their car without cutting or drilling through anything? The problems im encountering is first of all the **** when installed is too high so it just sits higher then the OEM which is not what i intended and second thing is i cant even install it so it sits stable ..theres not enough space when i push the stick down to clear the ring while screwing on the bolts and the stick would look really bad if it was exposed and i didnt add the ring to cover where the **** is screwed .. sorry for all the screwing and all the ***** mentioned but its just driving me crazy.

Default Well, I have a Momo ****. Did you buy a **** that accepts their sport boot?

I replaced the boot so it made replacing the **** really easy since I didn't have to figure out how to dress the bottom of the ****. Many people here have installed Momo ***** w/o much trouble I think. Depends on the **** you're putting on.

Here's a pic of mine.

Default Hmmmm....I'm not sure I understand your problem. Can you take pictures?

I don't really understand your comment about the **** being too high, though. I have mine pushed down completely on the shifter and it's lower then the OEM ****. Then I just tightened the set screws and it's been locked in place ever since. Won't the OEM sleeve just puch up against the bottom of the **** if you are able to push the **** down all the way? Did you put the right adapter busning on the shifter?

Default I bet not. Sounds like he has the ring that covers the momo set screws not mating with the OE boot

That's the problem .. It looks bad.

Default Just my two cents... if they were a bit smaller....

then all the text would fit on screen without having to scroll sideways at the end of every line. I'm running 1024 res on a 17" monitor, so something has to be kinda big to make me scroll a full window. :-)

FWIW, I keep to 640 wide on forum pics... works for everyone that way.

But hey... enjoy that cable modem!

Default I'm having a problem installing my MOMO too, although it's a different problem...

I just bought a MOMO SPHERE **** (same as Octtober and Hottub), but I can't make it stay screwed on. It keeps getting loose!

I tried tightening the damn thing till an inch of it's life, but after a couple of hours it comes loose from shifting... I give up. Anybody have any tips? If not, I'm gonna try and return the damn thing...

(It also sits too high as people have said).
