Default Need to know strongest (safest) inner wheel rim cleaner? Used a Stoner's wheel

rim cleaner, got most - but didn't get everything off. I haven't cleaned them in a year, which is obviously the first problem. I need something that's tough, but non-abrasive.

Default This may not be the best thing, but...

I used White No. 5 to get EVERYTHING off the insides of the wheels. Works well with a little elbow grease. however, you must follow this up with a coat of wax!

P21S gel cleaner for tough dust. Won't etch the aluminum like many others.

Default Have a hose handy and then spray on Simple Green - get almost all the dust n dirt off

just don't let it sit on your rim for more than a few seconds

I hate to say this as well but using Dawn or another dish washing liquid at the end of your wash does a great job as well and it safe. It also does a great job of cleaning the rubber. use a different sponge but other than that it should do the trick. Sure you have to re-wax your wheels each time but hey thats the fun of being ****

Regards

Default Lay wheel face down. Spray on engine degreaser and use a scrubby something. Don't have to do much

but go around the surface once with the scrubby. Then rinse of and you can go back and get the tough spots with some dawn and the scrubby. Got my wheels looking brand new.

Default There is NOTHING that is truly spray-on-hose-off....

...they all require some elbow grease if you want to get the wheels completely clean. I've been using Armor All Wheel Cleaner (formerly Quicksilver...the one with oxalic acid). It's readily available at most auto parts stores, inexpensive, won't damage the wheels, and works as well as anything. I get it in the gallon size at Costco for $10 or so.
