Default Never good to see...on your way 470 miles to Allentown

Headed out this morning for a business trip. Many, many miles from home. I got no more than 2 miles onto I-76 E / PENNSYLVANIA TURNPIKE heading on to Allentown and this is what I get on the display. lucky I was able to find a exit and an advanced auto. A quick shot of Mobile one and the car was happy again. Any idea where my oil went? I've got no leaks that I have noticed. I park in the garage with a clean floor and would have noticed even a few drips.

I've heard (in this forum) that 1 qt/1000 miles is considered normal.

Default When I had my TT #2, I'd have to add oil practically once a month >>>

because that light was on! Kept on taking it to the dealership and they said "the car just burns oil faster". Like that was it.... they
finally looked UNDER the car and noticed that the oil pan bolt
was slightly loose. Didn't leak when parked, but when I drove it,
it burned the oil faster.

Don't know if that's the problem for you, but once they replaced the oil pan and bolt... no more leaks, lights, excess oil purchases.

When you in Allentown?? Knopf Audi is the dealership here, FYI.
We're only about 20 minutes away in Easton! Say "Hi!" when you come into town, okay? :-)

Default That's why the dipstick is yellow..>>

To remind you to check it. How long had it been and was it full then?? Unless yu know, speculation over oil usage is meaningless..

Default The comment about 1Q every 1000 miles makes sense now.

Changed oil about 2500 miles ago. Nathan
