Just got the final installation of the new audio system in my TTQR. I originally had the Concert Radio (just say no to Bose) and replaced it with:

- Sony ES MDX-C8970 Mini-Disc Head Unit
- Sony Joystick Remote (mounts to a phone mounting point)
- VoiceDrive Microphone to control all deck functions (driver's visor)
- Sony ES CDX-91 10-disc CD Changer (trunk)
- Sony MD-62 6 MD Changer (behind the driver's seat in the compartment)
- Sony XM-604EQX Amplifier (Trunk)
- Boston Acoustics C110 Competition Sub with Passive Radiator (Trunk)
- a/d/s 236is Component Speakers (Front Doors)

Also, how did you connect into the factory wiring harness, if at all?

The Sony head unit did need an adapter to fit in the space of the wider than normal Concert head unit. A wiring harness was used to connect to the rear speakers only. The other items were bypassed as the new speakers were used in the doors (connected to a new amp) and the subwoofer ran off of the bridged 3-4 channels of the amp as well.<p><A HREF="http://www.bmelter.com/tt/ttindex.htm"><IMG SRC="http://www.execpc.com/~beezer/images/tt/sig1.GIF" border="0"></a>
