i just picked up my car. the new bumper, painted and clear-coated, is a perfect match with my existing TT paint. i am very happy i chose to go the non-blending route. and now i have a chip-free bumper !
my car is 19 months old now, lake silver, and is out in the sun pretty much only on weekdays while i'm at work, and even then it's often parked in partial shade. apparently there has been little or no fading of the original paint.
i thought i read here that silver is the hardest color to match. i would think it's the easiest, and my bumper experience is a good example.
oh, i forgot to say ....

... and my car isn't exactly brand new.
it seems like silver would be the most forgiving because it's metallic and takes on many different hues depending on the light intensity and source, shade, etc.
