Default New Dolomite 3.2

New to the world of Audi. Purchased the above mentioned beauty a few weeks ago. I have a question about air conditioning. It works perfect when the outside temps are in the 70 to 80 range, however, I feel it does not cool enough when 85 or over. Also, when driving for a couple hours I notice that it automatically switches from automatic temp setting to economy all on it's own. The dealer cannot replicate as the current temps in Chicago are in the 70's and will remain there for a while. Any ideas? Do I have a problem?

Default Yes, you have a problem. The A/C should work just fine above 85 or over; in fact, it was over 90

here in Dallas a few days ago, and the A/C was just about freezing me out of the car. And it definitely shouldn't switch to econ mode all on its own. Are you sure you're not inadvertently hitting a button?

Default It soes sound like a problem... I would call the Exchange in Highland Park

They have always been great to work with.

Default Dolomite 3.2s Rule!

Had hot enuf temps (90s) to put up the roof and turn on A/C on only two afternoons -- never noticed the thing switch into econ and kept me nice and cool (did the econ LED come on?). Also, have never driven more than about two hours in one stretch. You can always over-ride the temp setting controlling the A/C distirbution by going manual with the fan, right? Good luck ...

Nimbus a skosh lighter vs Dolomite; not as light as Aviator
