Default New MkV R32 Haldex can have up to 75% rear torque bias. What changed on Haldex?

I thought the system on the original R32 was identical to our TT and that at best 50% of torque could be split to the rear. How is the new system able to divert 75%? Is this something retrofittable to older systems ?

Default Note the word "available" which means

that it doesn't truely transmit up to 75% of the torque. If the front wheels are on ice and slipping - then 100% of the AVAILABLE torque can go to the rear - since NO torque is available up front - because torque can't exist if it's not being transmitted. It can't without a center differential and neither can ours. The race haldex or BLUE can't either. It can torque transfer characteristics are different - but due to the limitations of the entire drivetrain system - no more than 50% can go to front or rear.

Exactly what Joe said. If it goes thru the tranny first.....it MUST turn those wheels first = 50%max
