Default New Ronal 17" R-7 on TT looks great!!!

I photographed the new 17' R-7"Bulldog" on the TT today, and I have to say it looks exceptionally good. The curvature of the spokes along with it's rounded design is a perfect match for the TT body shape.
I'll post some photos soon BUT in the meantime, if you look at our website, www.ronalusa.com, Index of Cars section---Look at the Jetta,A4, and VW Beetle section--the R-7 is shown on the car--and if you focus on the front half of the car you can get a very "representative idea" of how good this wheel looks on the car.
It is a 17x8 and is available in a 18x8.5" size also. As always, we do offer wheel/tire packages for both regular and snow use for the car.

Default GARY, some ronal questions (more)

since you are the oe wheel manufacturer for audi, can you also get a hold of some of the tt wheels sold in germany/europe? if not, can you put the audi log instead of the ronal one one your wheels. here's a link to and a pic of the two wheels i am referring to. the inline pic is of the "competition wheels," i think. thanks.

btw, i'm glad everyone is enjoying the turkish stud man i posted. also, glad to see things have lightened up here at the tt forum.

http://131.107.68.28/a4org/auditt_wheel_800x600.jpg</a

Default Don't mean to be butting in, but

Yes, Audi logo center caps are available for Ronal wheels. I have a set for my R-28s, and will order another set for my R-7s. (Naturally, the two wheels take different size caps.) If you check the wheel forum archives, a couple of weeks ago Gary posted the Audi part numbers and a fit list for his various wheels. I got my set from Clair, at a bit of a discount from the dealer's list.

The wheels in the TT pic you posted look just like the A6 2.7T standard 16" wheels, although I realize the lug patterns are different. Gary has previously posted that the A6 wheels are a slight variation of the R-7's he sells. There is definitely a strong similarity - the A6 wheels are a little more squared off, compared to the more rounded spokes of the R-7.

Very nice looking wheel that should complement the TT beautifully. So how much do the 17x8 and 18x8.5 Ronal R-7s weigh compared to the stock 17" TT wheels or the "competition" TT wheels (which seemingly are available only in Europe)?

Default More Info!!

Thanks for your comments--we try to post only accurate information.
I've not had the opportunity to weigh a TT OEM wheel, personally. They are 17x7.5" vs our aftermarket wheels which are 17x8"--which allows for a better seat to the tire, and hence a better ride characteristic.
Yes, the OEM AUDI logos from the A4 alloys fit our R-7 and R-28 models, this was posted earlier as well as a very lengthy post on" AUDI wheel/tire information, LONG,etc"----I recommend the reading of this post for general information.
When we have the opportunity to take in a set of OEM TT wheels in trade, I'll weigh one--and post the correct information. Thanks.
