I live in Maryland so winter weather is a concern. I have 30k on my 2001 225 Coupe and the OEM tires are about done. Any recomendations. I am looking for the best of everything in a tire:
Quiet, Good Winter and Summer Traction, Long treadlife, and low cost.
I understand I can't have all of those but your thoughts and feedback are appreciated. Thanks
Neil

If you have a lot of snow then a dedicated snow tire is what you need. Tire rack and others have 16" steel wheel and snow tire combos.

All-season, best in test by Consumer Reports. A set is going on my car this week.
A co-worked loves them on his WRX. Other TT owners here have given them high marks.
$500 or so, installed at Discount Tire.

Have about 5000 miles on them. They are smooth, quiet and handle well dry or wet. Got them at discount for about 500 a set. Would not buy anything else now that I have seen how good they are. Next set my wife needs..will put them on! good luck!
