...<font color="003366"> I worked in Geneva and had an E50 as my company car. Although the model was never sold in the States, it did exist. Used a 347HP AMG-tuned version of Mercedes' 32v DOHC V8. Built by Mercedes, finished by AMG. Unlike the Porsche-assembled W124 E500.
D*mned nice car. But it tramlined like a sumbitch in town.
The E50 was built in 1997, 1998 and I think for a short time in 1999. You could also consider my fathers old 560SEC Hammer as an AMG car, but its 6.2 Litre V8 and other accoutrements would NEVER be touched by a Mercedes dealer.... just as they woudn't touch a Euro model E50. However they would repair (under warranty) a 32 Kompressor.
