Default Newbe Needs Help

A newbe here...I picked up a 2003, 225hp Coupe last week.

Now the Mods start. First new shoes. Got a set of 18" Hartmann RS4 replicas today, and my Michelin Pilot Sport PS2s should be mounted by the end of the week.

Next I am thinking of getting an APR Chip. Should I combine the chip with a diverter valve and new intake to get the best from the chip? Any suggestions on the diverter valve and air intake, and where to get them?

Thanks for the help!

Default Hyperboost HX

i use that with my Revo chip and noticed a HUGE difference in performance. I ordered it from stratmosphere.com just my two cents.

Default Re: Hyperboost HX

Is it a difficult install? Not a great mechanic here.

Default here's what I did

revo... but I wouldn't mind APR either.
HyperboostHX as SilvrBulleTT did...
TTDA intake from www.modshack.info, no converted to VTDA for the cooler months

That combination will work well. Eventually you will want a boost machine (see also modshack site) and an exhaust. If I was to do an exhaust again, I'd go custom but I do like my Forge.

Thanks! How hard is the TTDA install?

Default even easier with the simple install

toughest part was removing the "snorkel", the plastic piece that routes the air inlet from the wheel well to the stock airbox. But with enough fiddling, it comes out fine. Lots of info on TTDA installs here, just use the search function (above).

What would be your HP estimate (starting with the 225 hp) with the chip, Hyperboost FX and the TTDA?

Default mmm.... 255 - 260? I dunno....

I'm not a hp guy, I just try to make it perform better. Others might have a better idea. I've heard the chip can add 40 hp, 5 - 12 for the ttda.
