Default Newbie TT owner has some questions..

Hi guys, I'm a newbie owner of a 2000 Denim Blue TT Quattro Coupe. As such, I've got a couple questions, hoping some of you can help me with. Much appreciated.

1. In the headlamp assembly, aside from the high and low beam, there is another bulb. How do you turn it on? Or is it just a vestige of a feature only avaliable in europe?

2. I've got xenon low beams, but is there a kit to make the high beam xenon as well?

3. How much will a new 17" factory 6 spoke wheel cost? (I've got one with some big scrapes)

4. I was thinking about chipping my car..any suggestions?

THANKS IN ADVANCE, I APPRECIATE IT!<ul><li><a href="http://homepage.mac.com/ericku">My New Baby</a></li></ul>

Default Turn headlight switch on, and pull, the other lights will come on...

won't work with just your parking lights, unless you re-wire them. Chips, everyone has their favorite - I have had no problems with G.I.A.C., you can swap back to factory in a matter of minutes for when you take it in to dealer, if you worry about that. Also, free upgrades for life. Oh, very, very nice color !!!!!!! It's the fastest.

1)pull on the switch
2)Hgh beam xenons are against the law here in the US, and also around the world I think
3)If your going to buy new wheels, get other ones to make your car different and unique.
4)I am pretty shure APR is the best out there, also depends on what hp your car has, 180 or 225?

here's a link for Xenon conversions...never tried it myself.

If the fogs aren't white enough for you, consider changing to PIAA Super Plasmas (H3). about 60.00 for the pair. I love them.

No idea about price of a wheel. I've seen them on ebay. Every consider getting it repaired?<ul><li><a href="http://www.hids4less.com/stage_i_vs_stage_ii.htm">http://www.hids4less.com/stage_i_vs_stage_ii.htm</a</li></ul>

Default Re: chipping...

As for chipping, I happen to live about 200 miles from APR in Auburn, AL and I'm headed up there tomorrow for an ECU and EMCS Flip-switch upgrade, as well as a K&amp;N drop-in air filter (aka Stage I).

Nice part is, if you bring them the car, they'll do it while-u-wait, no charge for labor!

I'll let you know what I find and "feel"! APR has an outstanding reputation worldwide. Personally, I can't wait 'til they finish their Stage III setup for the 225hp engines - now in testing, they are looking at 400hp!!!!

Default Welcome Nobita

<center><img src="http://pictureposter.audiworld.com/31585/tt1.jpg"></center><p>Congrats on new purchase. I too was looking at the Denim but settled for the Silver. I had two passenger side wheels that were horrific - I was thinking about replaced - new, but I would recommend call Carl Anderson from Rusnak. About 2 months ago, he had those horrific wheels redone and believe me, the previous owner had what appeared some very tough knicks. Anyway, to my amazement the wheels look new - The original quote was $250 per wheel, but BOTH WERE DONE for $200. Can't help with the other issues but hope this helps!!!!<ul><li><a href="http://www.fredyt123.com/tt.htm">http://www.fredyt123.com/tt.htm</a</li></ul>
