The end of infinite history?

TT owners and Audi agreed on a comparison out of court. Now the automaker hopes with driving lessons and other concessions that the angeschrammte image from the headlines disappears.

Audi boss Franz Josef Paefgen wants to offer additionally a driving training to disconcerted TT drivers. " a sports car, which is fast moved, always needs a kundige hand ", said Paefgen to the " asterisk ". Sense of the internal message is not it however under any circumstances to teach to the customers driving a car again. Rather it is to be shown the owners, what for a " exzellentes " vehicle of the TT is, so Audi speakers Rudolf Schiller. Under expert guidance drivers could recover the confidence to the sports car. The trainings are to take place in the context of the general training courses, completed Schiller.
But training is not constituent of the comparison between Audi and two groups of lawyers from Hanover or Bremen. There the contractors agreed on the fact that the TT with the electronic stability program (ESP) is usually re-tooled. If the owners are not ready for it, also a buy-back of the sports car is possible, said another Audi speaker in individual cases.

The hannoversche attorney Hans Hans-Joachim Wiebe, which represents 420 TT drivers according to own specification alone, acknowledged the comparison. Over the details of the comparison between Audi and the TT owners silence was agreed upon. Its mandators are however content with the result fully.

Also with that approximately 20 TT drivers, who make compensation valid after accidents with the sports car, an agreement with Audi is in view, said Wiebe. Thus also the controversy, whether driving errors or uncertainties were in the chassis of the TT a cause for the accidents, would be groundless.
