Default NHTSA campaign id #01V325000 recall for audi quattro rear suspension

I have an appointment with Tischer of Silver Spring tomorrow. I remember this discussion back in September from the UK TT forum. Anyone else got their TT rear suspension control arm replaced?

Default my car was just in at tischer...and they didn't mention this at all (the did ask me again...

if i wanted the spoiler and type 2 control arms, etc. -- i politely refused).

is this now a real recall here in the states?

Default Re: I pulled the report from NHTSA..

I've been tracking the UK TT Forum as well. Jae has a news item on the subject on their homepage.

NHTSA has posted a recall date of 10/17/2001.

Default Could it be the same thing?

The last time I had my 01TTQC in the shop (2 weeks after delivery), I mentioned that the alignment seemed a tad off. They made the maximum adjustment they could and found that something was wrong because that max adjustment still didn't fix the problem. They eventually replaced some part down there (I drive 'em; not fix 'em)... could it be the same part and they just didn't tell me that it was replaced due to a service bulletin?

BTW, it still feels like the alignment is a tad off- like the steering wheel has be held a bit off-center during flat driving.

Default If this is an official recall - why have no notices been sent to owners within the build date range?

I'm a 12/99 build - in the range - but have not received ANY recall notice. Thanks for posting this info - i'll give it to my dealer when I bring the car in for it's 20k on thursday.
