Default No start

Can any of you guys help me? My TT would not start at all. I turn the key to start the car and it wouldn't do anything, nothing at all, all the lights work and I have a fairly new battery. I had to push-start the car in gear in order to start, any ideas?

Nothing. Its like trying to start the car without pressing the clutch.

Default most likely your battery has a bad cell. Jumper it with another larger car (bigger batt) and see

what happens. if it still doesn't turn then it's somehting else.

Default I tested that theory already (battery is 8months old)

During the mornings it will start with no problems. If i shutdown the car and try to start it immediately...no love, it will not start, I will have to wait and try like 10 times before it starts. Maybe the solenoid heats up and causes an open circuit, and it will not enable the system until it cools down. any ideas?

Default In that case if you haven't already done so take a look at the starter

and make sure all the wires going to it are tight, contacts are clean, reseat the main connector, clean its contacts it if necessary.

Also take a look at all the wiring on your battery cover. Something might be loose. <- might want to check this first since it's in plain view

Default OK, I just found something......

I just started the car 3 times. I tried to start the car again (4th time) and i would start (same symtoms)used the spare key, no luck. Someone mentioned earlier a problem with their clutch switch. I played with the clutch, pumping it several times...the car started. Has anyone heard this problem before?
