Default Noise with top up?!...

for all you people with the TT roadster, how is the noise with the top up. I realize that the top is not lined and this has kept me away from the TT, but I keep coming back because it is the best looking roadster on the market. so tell me what you think. i have a long commute and dont want a car that is going to give me a headache after every drive. thanks in advance.

I also commute a good distance. No problems with noise.

Default Not a problem

Roadster has been my daily drive. The noise isn't a problem. But if you're used to the ultra quiet of today's better sedans -- it may take a little time to adjust. You will clearly hear the big semis as you pass them -- with the top up or down. This isn't necessarily bad. I appreciate the additional audio inputs from the road and traffic. In fact after using my Hard Top for the first winter -- I never put it on for the last winter here in NY/NJ (Car is always garaged).

Default The noise level with the top up really isn't an issue for

me. My wife's Passat is much quieter, but when I drive my 225 QR I adjust to the difference in noise level very quickly and unobtrusively.
It's no Lexus but then, I never expected it to be.

Default I notice it, but it's no big...

I drive 1.5 to 2 hours each way almost every day, over really terrible Hawaiian pavement. I noticed immediately that the TTR is noisier inside than my VW New Beetle 1.8T was.

But I don't mind; the suspension pads like a kitty over the bumps, the seats are PERFECT, the Bose system is VERY nice for an open car (quiet, all you Bose-knockers!), and the TTR itself is... the best car I'll ever hope to drive!

Noise, schmoise... ain't no thang! Go for it!!!
