doing a complete fluid exchange on my 2001 TT 225, 60k miles. (also spark plugs, timing belt and all associated components)
I emptied my rear diff and the drain plug magnet had some metal filings on it, not a whole lot, but surprising to say the least. Also, what Redline fluid is recommended to refill the rear diff?
I changeed out the Haldex filter, drained, and refilled the unit with one tube of new Haldex fluid. But some fluid escaped while trying to put the plug back in the bottom, so I checked the refill level and it hasn't reached the plug. I'm not sure how far below the proper level is in there now, but how much of a concern is it not to be filled enough?

The tube of Haldex oil is 275 ml, and the fluid capacity of the Haldex clutch is 250 ml. So it is designed to spill a little. I think you should be OK if you didn't spill like half the tube.
