Default But in the picture what is the p/n of the hose and are the p/ns correctly

JP....
on the referenced previously posted pictures/article there is the 06A-133-789 hose shown with an attached check valve and another hose on the other end....might I assume this is all one part number? (two hard hoses and the check valve).

Is the clip for the elbow that uses the o-ring serviced separately ? Do you have a p/n on that?

Default 06A-133-789 is a multi-piece part.

It includes (from left to right) the rubber U bend and connector, the hard hose, the check valve and T, the 90^ rubber hose, the long hard line with the U bend all the way up to 06A-133-783BA.

I reused the clip on the elbow, not sure what the part number is. The o-ring part number is listed as N-904-673-01.

Part #s were all correct when I first posted them. Others have used the same part numbers more recently with no problems.

Parts were around $240 and then about $50 in hose clamps, $10 for brake clean, $20 for pizza

Default Isn't that PCV system a marvelous example of automotive engineering?

I look at that and think...."this could certainly be simplified."

NOT! I am thinking the same thing. Keeping costs down I will be doing the same deal but removing the manifold. I will be (trying) to simplify things. If I am sucessful I will post with pictures.

Default Some folks on vortex have replaced the entire PCV setup with a catch can

I'm not sure that that is entirely safe though. I've got a catch can plumbed in in place of the black pancake valve that hangs off of the valve cover and sits between the PCV vent, valve cover vent and intake hose.
