Default Now I've read the search pages about the Headlight mod

and I cant figure out what the "TRICK" was to put your headlights in the oven for a few minutes on what heat and how long to make it super easy to get the lenses off the housing. Pretty much all I want to do is to take the reflector out, I may decide to go with some clear lenses, Not sure yet though.

Default Here's the deal...

the material that binds the lenses the the headlight housing is VERY sticky. When warmend, it becomes more pliable. There are 4(?) metal clips that need to be removed beofre you can even begin to try and pull these two pieces apart.

Do this:

-Pull Headlights and disconnect from harness
remove clips
-Heat oven to no more than 200 degrees and in 5 kinute increments, heat them until the glue is beginning to soften... pry them apart a bit at a time.
-After 2 or so times doing the heat/pull thing, they will hopefully be able to pull them apart.

When you have them apart, you'll be able to separate the yellow lense. Enjoy.
