I'm not doing it for milage. I really think it would help the car out, though I could be wrong. I'm not looking to drop 2 grand either, just looking for find the planetaries out of the TDI o2m, think that would do it quite well. Might be too long though. Only one real way to find out.

Default Re: That's not a given - depends on how much more power you are making....

Definatley, though with the TDI finals, the RPM drop's are almost identical as stock, though the gears are quite a bit longer, so it will take more motor to push through them. I think this could benefit a mildy modded car, though I could be wrong.

I'd love to atleast call and ask, but I don't even know what part numbers I'm looking for. I've poked around on all data and a few other places, but I can't find much info on the actual transmission, or parts inside.

I'll keep my eyes open, thanks. If anyone has it, and wouldn't mind taking a few minutes to poke around?

Default This is a good idea. I remember seeing gearing for the 02m on an aftermarket site

and it caught my interest. I was not interested in the price so much as the gear ratios. I'll see if i can find it again. It may help your research.

HPA makes the final drives, there's 2 grand, the links below. Someone else do this too?

Default It's the HPA link below. But I have thought about the gearing on the TT too. Keep us posted

with what you decide to do. I am thinking along the same lines.

I just hope brining out 1st and 2nd doesn't make this little motor flop on it's face. If I can find the part numbers, I'll be doing this when I can get ahold of the parts.
