Default Octane!!! No more techron....now, NOS 104 Race Booster>>

Man, this car neds a high octane diet. 94 doesn't cut it
Added that NOS brand race formula to a tank of 94 and hit the thruway with buddy on Ducati Monster.
Nailed the gears to a smooth 110mph (and back down..real fast!)...the car literally screams. No more flat spots!
The moral of this story.....boost needs octane, big bosst even more. Mine was supposed to work on 93...what a joke. Today my boost guage pegged way past 30psi in 5th at triple digit speeds.
I'm going to West Patterson for a few jugs of 104 to store at home...thing is a blast

Default Read about octane boosters...lots on net. NOS is second only>

to a brand from "down under"....not available (as far as I know) in US.

Internet...Autozone....any good place will have....but get the RACE version.....~$12bucks to treat full tank.
If you don't knock you don't need......ECU may addd advance with the octane....not sure.
My setup definitely needs as the software retards ignition as I boot it (easy to feel and supported by Pro-Diag diagnostic tool.
Best thing to do is keep the combustion chamber CLEAN....no cheapo gas and a regular run of techron additive every 2-3K miles

Default Ok, never tried the 100 octane...do you think 94 + that NOS race booster will actually take it up to

100? I have a race program on my chip and would really like to give it a shot, just don't want to bother with toulene.

Default clueless....product claims.(here we go on them pesky claims again)>

"upwards of 7 points" (Hey Steve...there you go again!)but I wouldn't venture to quantify actuall improvement in a specific car.
I can say that it makes a difference. Is it a replacement of true 100gas....absolutely NOT.
Check out the informative web sites.......trus high octane fuel is way more than just additives....the refining process is key!
As for me...I'd say I'm running higher than 94 octane.....thats all I'd commit to

What program settings are you running it under?Does your chip have different maps for higher octane?

Default since when do fuel additives change the actual octane? thought it basically added imaginary points??

thought that 94 oct + booster made it better 94, not actually changing the octane. i was told some some fuel geeks that you cant make 100 oct with simple adding of booster, it just improves the impurities of the petrol?

Default Theoretically you could create an additive that would give you higher octane, I just haven't found

one yet. Many people have mixed toulene and that bumped up the octane rating so I guess its possible.

Default Read the fine print on that stuff>>

10 octane boost "points" generally equals 1 U.S. octane number for a given amount of fuel.

Default 7 points mean 0.7 octane gain so overall rating should be 94.7. Put some real 100 octane fuel in it

and watch her fly.
