Is it belt whine?
The serpentine belt could either be undersized, the tensioner could be weak or they spilled a fluid on the belt and/or didn't start with a clean belt and pulleys.
If it's a groan, then fluid level could be a problem but you'd have to be pretty low to get that.
BTW, pentosin 11s should be obtainable for $15/liter if you look in german auto parts stores. Depends where you live of course.
