Oil....3000 miles since change and Warning Indicator Light comes on? Anyone else burning oil fast?

i had the same thing...
at about 2800 i was down a qt - light came on,, then just the other day I checked it at around 3900 - and was down 1/2 qt +/-... i posted about it then and a few others had simliar experience - but no loss after that.
