Oil Consumption

What do you consider "normal" oil consumption for a 225Q? I suppose one quart per 1,000 miles is the typical factory response.

If you're losing a quart per every 1k....

there's a SERIOUS problem with your car.....serious problem. I can go 5k on an oil change without a single drop missing.

What would be some factors to check? PCV system under intake manifold?

I have an 02 225 and I burn a lot of oil. I've been told it's 'normal'. 1 qt per 1k seems a little high. I have had the low oil light come on several times in the 2 years I have owned the car.

I burn a little oil, maybe half a quart every 5k.
