Oil Pressure light keeps coming on

Starting two days ago, my oil pressure light with "Min" next to it came on in the morning on the way to work. I stopped and checked the oil level; it seemed to be normal. But, to be cautious, I added just under a half a quart. After starting it up again the light was off, and the car ran fine, (keep in mind, when the light goes on I've never felt a difference in drivability). Since then, it has come on every time I drive, after driving for about 5-10 minutes. All I have done in the mean time, is pull out the dipstick and place it back, then remove the oil cap and put it back on. Everytime that resets the light. Does this sound like a sensor issue? Has anyone seen this before?

stopped after my first 5k service. I notified them of the problem, don't remeber what, if anything, they did, though.

Had the same problem, at same mileage. The dealer has had the car for three weeks and is unable to determine the cause. Have you had any luck?

1. How many miles on the car?
2. Have you had a service done on the car?
3. When was the last oil change, in miles?
4. Was the car running when you checked the oil?
5. Where was the oil level on the dipstick before and after you added the oil?
I would take the car to the dealership asap, oil pressure is NOT something you want to be screwing around with.

I just hit 3900 miles, haven't had the car serviced yet, (including no oil change), and the car was not running. After adding the oil, started the car up and let it run for a moment. Checked the level again after shutting the car off and it did not change much.
I definitely plan on bringing it in. I just thought I'd check with everyone to see if this was common.
