Default ok.. having some real issuies with boost machine >> (kinda long)

so i finally got the boost gauge in, so i was able to tune the boost machine.. i did exaclty as the 'hows and whys' told me to from the autospeed article. now my boost machine is hooked up like so:

pressure relief line hooked into the line pulled off the n75, and the line from the pressure regulator is hooked into the n75.

i had the pressure regulator screwed clockwise completely, and the pressure relief valve screwed anticlockwise completely. which should be stock boost... which is coming up around 9psi.

now no matter what i adjust on the boost machine, my psi just keeps dropping, and the wastegate seems as if it kicks in even sooner

so can anyone help me without this issue?

...on a side note, putting the lower dash back in i think i pinched a line on my headlight switch putting the boost gauge in. because now my foglights are on even though its not pulled... but its no biggie. ill fix that tomorrow.

Default You're overboosting...

Reset the machine...start with 4 turns on the boost **** (right) and then move up in 1/4 turn increments every 20-25 miles or so.

You shouldn't have to go any higher than 5.5 turns.

Default Sounds like you may be using the wrong lines off the N75.....>

Follow my instructions, Not the autospeed ones...

The valves were set to "off" when you received them

Charged pressure goes to BM "In" line (the one with the plastic barb.) You should have removed this from the BOTTOM of the N75 180 degress (opposite) from the solenoid plug. "Controlled" pressure line shown off the SIDE of the N75 is the one that goes to the Wastegate and is NOT TOUCHED.

Default are you sure you have the line hooked in correctly? The autospeed article may be different...

from Steve's setup....I think they were using the inline 5 cylinder on that article.....don't know how that's setup.....

Default OK...That looks right..>>

Did you remove the N75 electrical plug? Plug it back in?

Did you do any boosts checks after putting in the gauge and before the BM? 9 PSI would indicate a problem elsewhere. Measuring in 3rd gear right?

Reminder on the Valve turning...

Default Okay.....It has been so long since I've messed with one.....

I just remember that the setup is different with an N75 for a 180 and one from a 225. I thought maybe the autospeed article setup was similar to a 180 since they were using an older inline 5 or something......

Default all i unplugged was that vaccum line off the n75...

i installed the gauge after the BM was already in (because the BM was untouched which would mean its at stock) and yes i was using 3rd gear. it may have hit 10 lbs.

it still spools normally and everything, sounds normal, runs normal, im not getting any warning lights or any lights on the dash like that.

so im completely lost at what to do
